Jameson Halberg, LCSW

I am dedicated to offering my clients an effective and individualized approach to recover from the core issues contributing to disordered eating and other control behaviors. I feel so lucky to have found a career that is driven by a purpose: to build a bridge between evidence-based treatment methods and a compassionate, relationally-based environment for change. I enjoy learning the life stories of my clients and helping them to learn proven methods for getting to the root of their issues.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist with an integrative perspective, I have spent the past 15 years actively pursuing knowledge and supervision in evidence-based treatment methods. My career has included research on disordered eating and body dissatisfaction at the University of Michigan, an externship at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Health, and Diplomacy and Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. I’m truly passionate about helping people recover from anxiety (some might say I’m even a nerd about it).

I have been in practice for over ten years in a variety of mental health settings including residential treatment, community mental health, hospital settings, and private practice. To balance my life outside my role as a professional, I enjoy traveling, reading, and being a mom to my 2 busy kiddos.

I would love to use my experience and expertise to help you find more joy and peace in your life. Contact me here.
